Survey on the Impact of Land Titling for Beneficiaries of Proclamation No. 172 in North Signal Village, Taguig City

The Land Management Bureau – Gender and Development Focal Point System (LMB-GADFPS) conducted the first batch of the Survey last July 19, 2019 at the Barangay Hall, North Signal Village, Taguig City, to identify the impact of land titling to beneficiaries of Proclamation No. 172 and determine the areas for improvement with regard to processing of Taguig applications. This activity was attended by the North Signal Village Barangay Officials, staff and beneficiaries.

GAD Chairperson, Ms. Maria Gina F. Pascua welcomed the participants with warm message and brief overview of the activity proper. She emphasized the objectives and importance of the Survey in relation with Gender and Development in land titling programs. According to Ms. Pascua, this activity also aims to encourage women beneficiaries to avail of their rights to own land.

Moreover, to further assess the impact of land titling under Proclamation No. 172, the beneficiaries were divided into three (3) groups namely: those who have on-going applications, potentials applicants and those already with land titles. Aside from the positive effect of land titling, the activity also concluded that a lot of women are already empowered under this land titling program because most of them have their names included in their land titles.
