Turn-over Ceremony of Drone from FMB to LMB
The Forest Management Bureau (FMB) turned-over a set of Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) commonly called Drone, to the Land Management Bureau on August 25, 2021. DENR Assistant Secretary for Policy, Planning, and Foreign Assisted and Special Projects and FMB Director in concurrent capacity, Marcial C. Amaro, hand-over the equipments to LMB Acting Director Emelyne V. Talabis in a short ceremony which was witnessed by selected FMB and LMB officials. The survey-grade UAS set is composed of ARACE Griffin Vertical-Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Receiver, Laptop Lenovo with installed processing software, and other accessories. The acquisition of LMB of UAS is timely considering the pandemic situation nowadays wherein there is a need for land survey to be done with minimum exposure of the survey team in the field.
