Victor B. Balde witnessed the contract signing of the cadastral survey project in three municipalities in Sulu entered by Peter M. Otana (2nd from left) and DENR-ARMM Regional Secretary HadjiKahal Q. Kedtag. Three other Surveying and Titling Services Consultants (photo inserts) also signed separate contracts as part of the remaining 15 municipalities to be surveyed in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM). To date, the cadastral survey of 1,425 cities and municipalities or 87.20 percent of the total 1,634 cities and towns of the country were already completed. The National Cadastral Survey Program is one of the priority programs of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) under the stewardship of the LMB. Completing the 102-year-old cadastral project of the government would be among the important legacies of the Aquino administration. (lmm)
