The Land Management Bureau actively participated in the Pro Earth Run last April 30, 2016 at the SM Mall of Asia Grounds in celebration of the Earth Day with the theme “Trees for the Earth”. The event was initiated by Earth Day Network Philippines (EDNP) together with Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), SM Cares and UPS Philippines.
Pro Earth Run is an advocacy run to encourage people to Protect, Respect and Oversee the sensible and sustainable care of Mother Earth. The proceeds of the event will go to the continuing environmental program of EDNP.
The Pro Earth runners inched and raced one another to the finish line of the 10 km, 5km and 3km categories. There were also winners of raffle draw from different sponsors of the event.
Running is good but doing it for a cause would be better and if it is for the environment then it would be the best!
