LMB Director holds talk with DENR Bicol officials, employees
In order to discuss issues concerning the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Bicol, particularly on how to efficiently improve land services, the Land Management Bureau Director, Atty. Emelyne V. Talabis granted request for talks with DENR Bicol officials and employees on July 21, 2021 in Rawis, Legazpi City.
During the one-day forum, Atty. Talabis, and the DENR Bicol headed by Regional Executive Francisco E. Milla, Jr. discussed resolutions on a number of issues and concerns such as the implementation of the Department Administrative Order No. 2020-16 entitled, “Guidelines on the Disposition of Lands formed Adjacent to Agricultural Lands and Management of Islet in River Channels, Dry Creeks and Dry River Beds”, Department Administrative Order No. 2021-07 entitled, “Guidelines in the Establishment of Legal Easement Along the Seas, Rivers, Lakes Esteros and the Likes”, including the Presidential Proclamation No. 593 versus Executive Order 75; and other issues regarding the Municipal Reserve in Milagros, Masbate.

Turn-over Ceremony of Drone from FMB to LMB
The Forest Management Bureau (FMB) turned-over a set of Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) commonly called Drone, to the Land Management Bureau on August 25, 2021. DENR Assistant Secretary for Policy, Planning, and Foreign Assisted and Special Projects and FMB Director in concurrent capacity, Marcial C. Amaro, hand-over the equipments to LMB Acting Director Emelyne V. Talabis in a short ceremony which was witnessed by selected FMB and LMB officials. The survey-grade UAS set is composed of ARACE Griffin Vertical-Take-Off and Landing (VTOL) Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) Receiver, Laptop Lenovo with installed processing software, and other accessories. The acquisition of LMB of UAS is timely considering the pandemic situation nowadays wherein there is a need for land survey to be done with minimum exposure of the survey team in the field.
Duterte signs law simplifying land titling
Good news for owners of untitled agricultural lands!
President Rodrigo Duterte has approved into law a measure that simplifies the procedure and requirements in granting land titles.
REPUPLIC ACT (RA) NO. 11573 ENTITLED, AN ACT IMPROVING THE CONFIRMATION PROCESS FOR IMPERFECT LAND TITLES, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE COMMONWEALTH ACT NO.141, AS AMENDED, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS “THE PUBLIC LAND ACT,” AND PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1529, AS AMENDED, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE “PROPERTY REGISTRATION DECREE’ was approved on July 16, 2021. This ensures the continued titling of the agricultural lands and simplifies the procedures and requirements for the judicial confirmation of imperfect titles.
