FINALIZATION OF PLA STAGES

The Land Policy and Planning Division, Land Administration and Management System, National Coordinating Desk / Information and Communications Technology Section (LPPD LAMS NCD/ICTS) of the Land Management Bureau (LMB) conducted a focus group discussion (FGD) on September 13-15, 2017 at Cocoon Hotel, Quezon City to complete and finalize the remaining Public Land Application (PLA) stages to fully implement the LAMS PLA module in all Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Field Offices in the country. It was attended by representatives from LMB, National Capital Region (NCR), Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), Regions 1, 4, 6, and 11.

The event started by the welcome remarks and presentation of the rationale and objectives of the FGD by the Head of LAMS NCD/ICTS, Engr. Warlito G. Quirimit. It was then followed by the presentation of the overview of LAMS PLA by Mr. Donald Mendizabal from LAMS ICTS to give the participants an idea on how the LAMS PLA works and why the PLA stages should be updated. The participants then had a fruitful discussion on the finalization of the PLA stages which they presented afterwards.

The FGD ended with the closing remarks by the OIC Assistant Director of LMB, Engr. Henry P. Pacis. He emphasized the importance of updating the PLA stages in order to expedite its approval process and improve services of the land management sector.
