LMB CELEBRATES AUS-PH RELATIONS OVER TEA WITH AUSTRALIAN EMBASSY IN THE PHILIPPINES

As part of the commemoration of the seven decades of friendship between the Philippines and Australia, a morning tea event was hosted last July 1, 2016 by the Australian Embassy in Manila, for the Landgate Alumni Fellows from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Land Management Bureau (DENR-LMB) and Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF). Albeit a humble occasion, it was a short and sweet renewal of ties that has been tested and proven by the shared history of two nations. Her Excellency, Australian Ambassador to the Philippines, Amanda Gorely, was represented by Deputy Head of Mission to the Philippines, Matt Kimberley, to welcome the delegates.

The event also highlighted the accomplishments of LMB officials, who were formerly Fellows and Trainees of the Western Australian Land Information Authority or Landgate, under the Australian Award Fellowship on “Strengthening Economic Development and Governance through improved Land Management” and “Effective Governance of Land to Deliver Sustainable Economic Growth in the Philippines”. The roster comprised by Acting Director Emelyne V. Talabis, represented by OIC Assistant Director Engr. Henry Pacis, Chief of Staff Erma G. Quirimit, Assets and Management Section Chief Arnel Padua, Head Evaluation Unit, Geodetic Surveys Division Lensy Bunuen, Land Administration and Management System (LAMS) National Coordinating Desk and Chief Management Information Section Head Warlito G. Quirimit, and Center for Land Administration Management-Philippines (CLAMP) Manager Alicia T. Robles.

Lozano, Mr. Rainier Balbuena, OIC-CENRO of Baguio City, DMO IV, Enforcement Division, DENR-10 Sarah P. Chacon, and Local Government Unit (LGU) Municipal Assessor of Maramag, Bukidnon Evelyn Lantong.

The same goes to BLGF Director Jose Arnold Tan and OIC-Director for Local Policy Service and concurrent Financial Analyst V (Division Chief) Pamela Quizon.
