LMB commits to excellent service delivery by preparing future trainers
The Land Management Bureau held a Trainer’s Training session for Learning and Development from November 4 to 6, 2024, at Brentwood Suites in Quezon City. The event brought together selected officials and employees to enhance their skills in capacity building.
Assistant Director Romeo Versoza emphasized the importance of effective training. “Effective training is at the core of efficient service delivery, and today, we embark on a journey to master the art of creating impactful learning experiences. In our roles, it’s crucial not only to complete tasks with precision but also to build the capacity of others to meet the standards of excellence we uphold within the Land Management Bureau.”
Ms. Veneranda Geronimo shared insights on what makes an effective trainer, highlighting the need to work with passion, deliver with purpose, and show compassion, or malasakit. She advised trainers to focus on personal growth, confidence in communication, self-presentation, and social skills. Developing a positive attitude is key, she noted, encouraging trainers to nurture “PET” (Positive Empowering Thoughts) and avoid “ANT” (Automatic Negative Thoughts). Ultimately, she emphasized that success is driven not by knowledge or skills alone, but by the PASSION to believe in one’s potential.
The session concluded with remarks from Administrative Support Staff Head Alex Pascua, who thanked Ms. Geronimo for sharing her expertise. He expressed the LMB management’s commitment to supporting such training efforts to develop effective future Resource Speakers. According to him, these speakers will eventually be assigned to Field Offices to lead training sessions and seminars.
