LMB CONDUCTS ONE-DAY ORIENTATION ON DENR PERSONNEL INFORMATION SYSTEM

The Land Management Bureau (LMB) held a one-day orientation-workshop last August 19, 2016 at the LMB-CLAMP Conference Room to acquaint employees with the DENR Personnel Information System (DPIS). Led by Ms. Tessie A. Soriano, Head of the Human Resource Management (HRMU), the workshop encourages its use for more effective selection, promotion, and career planning.

The DPIS is a web-based application that records and manages DENR employee profiles and demographics. It maintains vital information about an employee and his/her career within the civil service which includes appointments, transfers, promotion, placement, educational background, and training details among others. Personal details include name, age and sex as well, allowing a gender-sensitive approach and sex desegregated information.

Ms. Lovely Grace P. Ibus, Information Systems Analyst from the Management Information System (MIS) assisted the participants with the basic information required. In turn, they are also automatically assigned to orient their respective Divisions on the process.

The DPIS replaces the previous PIS, which is in contrast a client-server type system that was launched to each Regional Office, Provincial and City Environment and Natural Resources Offices (PENROs, CENROs). The DPIS integrates the personnel database of each bureau with the DENR Central Office.
