The Land Management Bureau (LMB) was awarded as one of the top requested and performing agencies in the 2019 eFOI Portal Award under the Agencies / Bureaus / Commissions / Council Award category. This award was conferred by the Presidential Communications Operation Office (PCOO) last December 12, 2019 at the Peninsula Hotel, Makati City.
In behalf of LMB, Acting Director Atty. Emelyne V. Talabis, together with Assistant Director, Engr. Romeo P. Verzosa, and Records and Knowledge Management Division Chief, Engr. Victor B. Balde received a plaque of recognition for its performance among more than 300 agencies onboard the eFOI portal.
The eFOI Portal Award is given to government agencies, individuals, and organizations who have made exceptional and significant contributions to the development and progress of the Freedom of Information Program pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 3, s. 2019.
The award came after a thorough evaluation and deliberation conducted by FOI Awards Screening Committee, with the Office of the Executive Secretary, as the Chairperson, the Philippine Librarians Association Inc. (PLAI) representing the academe, the National Press Club (NPC) representing media organizations, and the Caucus of Development NGO networks (CODE-NGO) representing the non-governmental organizations, as Members.
With this recognition, the LMB aims to continuously promote an open, transparent, and accountable governance to further enhance the Bureau’s service to the public.
