LMB LEADS SEPT. 5 DENR FLAG RAISING CEREMONY

The Land Management Bureau (LMB), one of the staff bureaus under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), hosted the Sept. 5 Flag Raising Ceremony at the DENR Central Office, Visayas Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. The Bureau’s Key Officials were present to lead the ceremony. Atty. Norlito A. Eneran, Chief, Legal Division formally started the event as emcee, Ms. Maria Gina F. Pascua, Chief, Land Policy and Planning Division (LPPD) led the invocation, Engr. Rolando R. Pablo, Chief, Land Management Division (LMD) with the National Hymn together with the DENR Chorale, and the DENR Hymn by Engr. Bienvenido F. Cruz, Chief, Geodetic Surveys Division (GSD).

LMB Acting Director Emelyne V. Talabis led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Philippine Flag and delivered updates on the latest activities of the Bureau. Atty. Talabis announced the success of the launch of the Land Administration and Management System (LAMS), which is a land information system designed to improve land-related services. The hosting of the flag ceremony by LMB is a timely follow up to the Bureau’s celebration of its 115th Anniversary last September 2, 2016.

Other bureaus and agencies presented announcements including Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Assistant Director Jacqueline A. Caancan concerning the celebration of Ozone Day and National Solid Waste Management Commission (NSWMC) Executive Director Eligio Ildefonso on the poster making and photo competition by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO).

On behalf of DENR Secretary Gina Lopez, Undersecretary for Field Operations-Luzon and Visayas Isabelo R. Montejo delivered the keynote message, which called for more proactive efforts to extend the services of the Department to the underprivileged and the poor.
