LMB, World Bank Philippines Delegates Explore and Discuss Integrated Geospatial Information
The World Bank (WB) Philippines delegates paid the Land Management Bureau (LMB) a visit to its office at 880 Estuar Building, Quezon City on April 03, 2023. The LMB Executive Committee comprises Director Emelyne V. Talabis, Assistant Director Romeo P. Verzosa, Head of Administrative Support Staff and OIC Chief of Land Management Division, Mr. Alex C. Pascua, Chief of Land Policy and Planning Division, Engr. Henry P. Pacis, Chief of the Legal Division, Atty. Marlou P. Alutaya, Chief of Geodetic Surveys Division, Engr. Bienvenido F. Cruz, Chief of Records and Knowledge Management Division, Engr. Victor B. Balde, Head of Land Administration and Management System, National Coordinating Desk, in a concurrent capacity, Engr. Ariel F. Reyes, and the Center for Land Administration and Management-Philippines Manager, Ms. Melanie B. Malto were among the welcoming party of the Bureau.
The meeting intended to explore and discuss integrated geospatial information. According to Ms. Kathrine Kelm, a Senior Land Administration Specialist from World Bank, the meeting was a preparation for the formal SPLIT mission which will be conducted from May 8 to 12, 2023. Their goal was to seek land administration feedback from LMB as they have a few tracks of projects, technical assistance, and information that they plan to share with the Bureau. The initial discussion for their project concepts was with LMB due to the Bureau’s role in the management and administration of the country’s land cadastre. The Land Management Bureau headed by its Director, Atty. Emelyne V. Talabis supported the concept and looks forward to its further development
