Turn-over Ceremony of Global Navigation Satellite System – Real Time Kinematics (GNSS-RTK) from LMB to the DENR Regional Offices
In consonance with the government’s aim to utilize modern technologies and innovative approaches that will enable to improve the delivery of public service, the Land Management Bureau (LMB) turned-over 25 sets of Global Navigational Satellite System – Real Time Kinematic (GNSS-RTK) for surveying and mapping to all DENR Regional Offices last October 12, 2022 at Brentwood Suites Hotel, Quezon City.
Nine (9) GNSS-RTK instruments were funded by the Department of National Defense (DND) through Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for the survey and titling of the DND-AFP properties located all over the Philippines; the remaining 16 GNSS-RTK were funded in support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project. Each set of the GNSS-RTK instrument consists of an i90 GNSS receiver with accessories and MSI Laptop with processing software.
Atty. Emelyne V. Talabis, Director, LMB, with Engr. Romeo P. Verzosa, Asst. Director, LMB, Mr. Alex C. Pascua, Head, Administrative Support Staff and Concurrent OIC Chief, Land Management Division and Engr. Bienvenido F. Cruz, Chief, Geodetic Surveys Division, handed over the equipment to the DENR Regional Offices represented by Chief of Surveys and Mapping Division and their technical personnel.
The turnover ceremony was witnessed by the Geodetic Engineers of the Philippines (GEP) National Board: Engrs. Mary Ann Galang, Allan Oilif Florin, Venancio E. Cuba and Jeannette Co; and Engr. Rommel M. Antonio of the Professional Regulations Commission – Continuing Professional Development (PRC-CPD).
Field Training on Global Navigational System – Real Time Kinematic (GNSS-RTK) Operations and Data Processing Workshop was also provided by LMB, in partnership with MJAS Zenith Trading.
