Standing united against violence: LMB Director, Atty. Emelyne V. Talabis, leads the charge in signing the ‘STOP NOW’ Pledge Wall | |
Today marks the start of the 18-day campaign to END VAW with the recurring campaign theme, “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines” and its 2024 sub-theme, “VAW Bigyang Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras!”. This is also in celebration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
As part of the Bureau’s commitment, one of the key initiatives of the LMB Gender and Development Focal Point System is the “STOP VAW NOW” Pledge Wall, which was launched with the signing of names and pledge messages led by the LMB Director, Atty. Emelyne Talabis.
This campaign aims to raise awareness, promote advocacy, and encourage employees to take a stand against violence by signing their names or leaving meaningful messages on the wall. It also serves as an information drive, featuring key details about the Safe Spaces Act and raising awareness about VAW. This GAD initiative seeks to inspire commitment and action toward creating a safer and more respectful environment for everyone.
